The 51st USCRTF Meeting was hosted from April 28 to May 5, 2026 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Task Force released its first coral bleaching monitoring Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), titled Guidance for Monitoring the Impacts of Heat Stress and Coral Bleaching Events: Standard Operating Procedures from the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force. This new guidance, released in May 2026, addresses the critical need for standardized and simplified procedures to quantify the impacts of bleaching consistently across space and time on U.S. coral reef areas.

The 52nd USCRTF Meeting will be hosted in Washington, D.C. in fall 2026. Check back here for more information.
